RE:    INVITATION TO ATTEND A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP ON REVIEW OF PROFESSIONAL FEES IN THE COUNTRY: 11TH NOVEMBER, 2021

 The above matter refers.

The Departmental Committee on Health of the National Assembly during a stakeholders meeting held on 5th November, 2021 directed that a stakeholders’ workshop be convened to review Professional Fess, Hospitality, Pharmaceutical and Non-Pharmaceutical charges.

In view of the above, your organization was identified as a key stakeholder and subsequently you are hereby invited for a one (1) day consultative workshop on Thursday 1Ith November, 2021 at Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel starting at 10.00am.

 The Technical Working Group (TWG) Terms of Reference will be to discuss: –

1. General cost of health care in the country, components of professional fees; cost of medicine and medical devices;
2. Strategies to lower health care costs and improve outcomes of the services provided to Kenyans; and
3. Professional fee charges for each
4. Prepare a comprehensive procedure-based costing for each procedure to be submitted to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health for onward transmission to the National Assembly, Departmental Committee on Health.

In order to enable the secretariat adequately prepare for the workshop, your organization is expected to forward your proposals to the ceo@kmpdc.go.ke by close of business on Wednesday 10th November, 2021.

Kindly note that the Council shall cater for the conference package while your organization is expected to cater for transport and other related expenses.
