Eulogy For Winnie Naisianoi Shena-Muriithi

KOGS Condolences

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The heartfelt sympathy of The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynecological Society is extended to Mr. Charles Muriithi Njiru and family. Our deep grief is also self-shared by many as if one had lost a loved member of their own immediate family. We are saddened; we are stunned; we are perplexed.

Winnie Shena, the friend of all people of good will, a believer in the dignity and equality of all human beings, a fighter for justice, has been snatched from our midst. Our Society is bereaved and are poorer because of this loss.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]She possessed a sense of personal duty which made her willing to face up to the great task of being KOGS CEO. She had the tenacity and determination to carry each stage of her great work through to its successful conclusion.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Now that she has been taken from us by the cruel hand of death, we are bound to feel shattered and helpless in the face of our loss. This is but natural, but as the first bitter pangs of our incredulous grief begins to pass we must thank God that we were privileged, however briefly, to have had her in KOGS leadership.

While this is an occasion of deep sorrow it should be also one of dedication. We must have the determination to unite and carry on the spirit of Winnie for a strengthened society. And now that she is relieved of the burdens we imposed on her, may she rest in peace.

Respectfully,
Dr. Benjamin Odongo Elly
President – KOGS[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
