CURRENT ADVANCES IN HPV VACCINES: Online CME – September 15th

Statistics by Kenya HPV Information Centre estimates that every year, 5250 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 3286 die from the disease.
In Kenya, cervical cancer has been ranked the 2nd most frequent cancer among women and the 1st most frequent cancer among women aged between 15 and 44 years.
Last year, Kenya joined other African countries to introduce the HPV vaccine into its routine immunization schedule. This vaccine can prevent most cases of cervical cancer if given before a girl or woman is exposed to the virus.
