Objectives of workshop

At the end of the workshop participants will have

1. A deeper understanding of Indications (Lecture-30 minutes)

a) pre-requisites,

b) contra-indicators,

c) failed vacuum

d) overview of procedure

2. Improved competence in performing assisted vacuum delivery with a vacuum extractor (1 hour 30 minutes)

a) Anterior posterior

b) OT/OL

c) OP

Modes of learning

a. Lectures: 45 minutes

b. Hands-on sessions 2.5hrs
